Building the mobile van

Well I’ve never written a blog before, but here goes: Sarah ( Web Squared ) has set up my website www.cyclemaintenancecompany.com .. I guess you know that .. you’re here, and I have been told that I need to write some interesting blogs…

Setting up the company has been centred around a Mobile Workshop built into a Sprinter Van.. this will allow me to collect bikes, service on-site or at destinations further afield when required attend events and organise and support tours in the UK or overseas. Where possible salvaged timber has been used in the build. The work bench is some 30 years old and brought back from Cape Town when we returned here to England!!

Welcome to my new website

Hello my name is Charles and welcome to my new website cyclemaintenancecompany.com.

I’m a keen cyclist and have completed in a number of cycling events in South Africa including the Cape Argus (road) and the Lighthouse to Lighthouse (Gansbaai to Cape Agulhas) a 2 day off-road event run through some of the most spectacular scenery along the southern coast of Africa.

With a technical background – race car mechanic, boat builder and professional yachtsman I wanted to get involved in the cycling business through providing support to both the family and keen cyclist – road and mountain – to that end I’m qualified to service/repair, advise how to correctly use a bike and train where required in both a fixed and mobile base.
